This photo won first place in the Miranda weekly contest for the theme, "Ordinary Objects, Different Perspective."
This was captured on Cape San Blas in the early morning hours as a storm gathered over the Gulf. The lightning appears to be running down the tree, but in reality it was several yards behind the tree, out in the Gulf waters.
This photo placed second in the Miranda weekly contest for the theme, "Speed." Although it appears that the arrow has hit the apple, causing it to explode, the apple pieces were arranged on toothpicks stuck into a piece of styrofoam covered in black paper and plastic wrap used to simulate the liquid. The arrow was stuck through the back of the styrofoam.

This fisherman was kind enough to allow me to take this photo of him casting for mullet on the St Joeseph Bay in Gulf County, Florida.
What more can I say? This photo, a first place winner in the Miranda weekly contest, is of my Honey on the beach in the early morning hours near our home in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
